Testing Center

The PVCC Testing Center proctors for online courses, makeup tests, Accuplacer, along with the ATI TEAS and exams for other schools in and outside of the VCCS.
PHOTO ID REQUIRED for testing.
- Academic Tests
Instructors may make arrangements for online students and students receiving accommodations to take tests in the testing center.
- Distance Learning Tests
Students living in the surrounding area but taking classes at other institutions may arrange to have tests proctored in the testing center. See the FAQ for more information.
- Make-up Tests
With instructor permission, students may make up missed tests in the testing center. Students must make arrangements with their instructor.
- Placement Tests
Most PVCC students do not need to take a placement test. If you graduated from high school within the past 5 years, your high school GPA and coursework will determine what courses you place into. If you graduated from high school 6 years ago or longer, PVCC makes informed self-placement guides available to help you determine what courses you place into. Some non-native English speakers may need to take the Accuplacer to ensure proper course placement. Click placement or ask an advisor for assistance.
- TEAS
The ATI TEAS is a requirement for many of PVCC's Health and Life Science programs and is offered through the testing center at various times throughout the year, usually a month or two before a program deadline.
For example, the radiography program has an application deadline toward the middle of May. The Testing Center will offer exam opportunities in April and May until the application due date. To request an email with the available dates for this program, please reach out to [email protected] in March.
